Salient Features of Present Wages & Service Conditions
1. PAY SCALES: (Constructed by Merger of D.A. up to 2288 points)
2. STAGNATION INCREMENT: 3. DEARNESS ALLOWANCE: Rates from 01.11.2002 to 31.01.2005
From Feb. 2005 - 100% D.A. compensation at all stages i.e. 0.18% per slab for entire Pay. 4. CITY COMPENSATORY ALLOWANCE: (Same Rates and Same Centres but Minimum & Maximum Revised)
5. HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE: A new HRA Centre with population of 45 lacs and above is added as Mega Centre. Centres covered are Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkatta, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
6. TRANSPORT ALLOWANCE:
Rs.105/- per month (Rs.65/- per month under 7th BP)
7. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION PAY:
(1) Those who pass Graduation or CAIIB II when they are in 19th stage will be given one increment and one PQP and balance PQP in one year intervals thereafter. (2) Those who pass Graduation/JAIIB/CAIIB after reaching 20th stage will also be given PQP as above. (3) Direct Post graduation will be treated as Graduation and given two increments. 8. 9. SPECIAL PAY:
(1) Computer Operator with passing powers is a new post with effect from the date of settlement. (2) For Special Assistant, the allowance payable shall be Rs.1400/- from 01.11.2002 up to the date of settlement and Rs.1600/- thereafter. The following posts are discontinued with effect from date of settlement but existing recipients will continue to get the allowance.
10. LEAVE FARE CONCESSION:
· Entitled Class: Sub-staff - Sleeper Class Clerks - First Class.· Clerical Employees traveling by air will be reimbursed Ac 2 tier charges.· For travel by Shatabdi / Rajdhani trains, reimbursement will be upto AC 2 tier.· Option will be given to choose between 2 / 4 years block.· Travel by any mode of approved transport including taxi will be permitted.· Optional encashment of LFC and amount will be 75% of the entitlement / eligibility along with leave encashment.· Employees to be on leave for minimum 4 days while encashing LFC.11. Rs.1,500/- per year for all Clerks and Sub-staff (7th BP - Rs.1,000/- & Rs.1,200/-)

16. Cycle Allowance:
Rs.60/- p.m. at all centres (7th BP Rs.45/35 p.m.)
17. Split Duty Allowance:
Rs.90/- p.m. at all centres (7th BP Rs.75/60 p.m.)
18. Provident Fund:
10% of Pay.
19. Pension:
For Employees retired between April, 1998 and October, 2002: 50% of the Pay as per 7th BP. For Employees retired between November, 2002 and April, 2005: 50% of the Pay as per 8th BP. For Employees retired/retiring from May, 2005: 50% of the Pay as per 8th BP. This higher Pension will be paid from 1st May, 2005. 20. Gratuity:
One month Pay for each year of service with a maximum of 15 months + half month pay for each year of service beyond 30 years or as per Gratuity Act whichever is higher.

P22. Leave (Per Year):
Casual Leave: 12 Days. Privilege Leave: 30 Days (One Day for every 11 days of service) Sick Leave: 30 Days. Maternity Leave: 12 Months in total service 6 Months at a time.
23. Hospitalisation Reimbursements:
Employees and their dependent family members are eligible for reimbursement of hospitalisation expenses upto specified limits and as per schedule of charges.
